Sr. Staff Emc Engineer

Rivian Rivian · Auto · Palo Alto, CA · Mechanical & Electrical Engineering

Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer for EV platforms, focusing on PCBAs & ECUs. Responsibilities include assessing electromagnetic interactions, providing integration guidance, and design validation. Requires a strong understanding of electrical circuit fundamentals and hands-on debugging skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work with hardware designers to develop the next generation of control electronics for Rivian vehicles.
  2. Develop and validate electromagnetic models to predict circuit behavior when integrated into vehicles deployed in real-world environments.
  3. Test ECU and vehicle design margins in our EMC laboratories.
  4. Develop systems engineering models for sub-system EMI Source/Victim interactions in vehicles.
  5. Feed into electrical and mechanical integration and wiring harness design.
