This role focuses on commercial strategy and planning for Uber Eats, involving marketplace strategy, advanced analytics, and commercial execution. The Senior Associate will design and implement data-driven strategies for merchant acquisition and retention, optimize marketplace economics, and lead commercial advisory for complex deals. A key responsibility is to advance data-driven insights by building models for merchant performance and driving process excellence through AI-based commercial tools and automated dashboards for reporting.

What you'd actually do

  1. Create the strategic framework for merchant acquisition and retention; identify "must-have" selection gaps via geospatial analysis and design the commercial terms needed to win them
  2. Analyze market dynamics to determine the optimal balance of merchant investments and develop sophisticated pricing models that reflect the value each merchant brings to the platform, including the design and ROI modeling of merchant incentives
  3. Manage the review and advisory process for complex merchant deals, ensuring they adhere to internal guardrails for pricing, ROI, and long-term profitability
  4. Build and own the modeling for merchant performance trends, including price sensitivity and investment impact, to surface actionable insights for the Commercial and Operations teams.
  5. Design and implement standardized frameworks, playbooks and AI-based commercial tools that enable faster, more consistent commercial decisions across the merchant lifecycle
