Sr Strategy & Planning Associate

Uber Uber · Consumer · Sydney, Australia · Operations

This role is for a Sr Strategy & Planning Associate for Uber Eats Restaurants in ANZ. The role involves shaping and executing strategy, identifying growth opportunities, improving marketplace and P&L performance, and leading strategic projects. It requires strong analytical, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills. While the role leverages AI/ML tools, it does not involve building or shipping AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop a deep understanding of the ANZ Restaurants business, including growth drivers, unit economics, and competitive dynamics.
  2. Own structured deep‑dive analyses (e.g. city, segment, product, or initiative) to size opportunities, diagnose issues, and recommend clear actions.
  3. Own market intelligence for ANZ Restaurants Delivery – tracking competitive moves, category and customer trends, and external signals; translate these into clear implications and recommendations for the business.
  4. Identify, size, and incubate new growth bets (e.g. new segments, products, or models), including framing hypotheses, designing tests, partnering with local and regional teams to execute pilots, and recommending scale‑up or shut‑down based on results.
  5. Lead end‑to‑end strategic projects (0→1 and scale‑up), from problem definition and analytics through design, alignment, and execution tracking.
