This role is for a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) within AWS Enterprise Support, focusing on helping customers design, build, and operate their cloud environments. The TAM acts as a principal technical advisor and the 'voice of the customer' to enterprise clients, driving discussions on strategy, incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management. While the role involves understanding and guiding customers on the use of various AWS services, including Generative AI, it is not a hands-on keyboard troubleshooting role but rather a strategic advisory and advocacy position.

What you'd actually do

  1. You’ll join a diverse team of technical experts in dozens of countries who help customers achieve more with the AWS cloud.
  2. As a TAM, you will help craft and execute strategies to drive our customers’ adoption and use of AWS services, including EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, Gen/AI, and many more.
  3. Your technical acumen and customer-facing skills will enable you to effectively represent AWS within a customer’s environment, and drive discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support and risk management.
  4. You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, and proactively keep your customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications experience
  • 5+ years of technical engineering experience

Nice to have

  • Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment
  • Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead
