This role is for a Sr. Technical Account Manager (TAM) within AWS Enterprise Support, focusing on National Security customers. The TAM will act as a strategic technical advisor, helping customers adopt and utilize AWS services, including AI and ML services, to achieve their business and operational goals. The role requires strong customer-facing skills, technical acumen in cloud technologies, and the ability to manage customer relationships and drive discussions with senior leadership. It involves understanding customer needs, providing best practices, and ensuring operational health of their AWS environments. A TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is mandatory.

What you'd actually do

  1. Help customers of all industries and sizes gain the best value and service from AWS
  2. Be the strategic technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’ to National Security customers
  3. Help craft and execute strategies to drive our customers’ adoption and use of AWS services
  4. Provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices
  5. Proactively keep your customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or 2+ years of technical work experience
  • 2+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Experience informational technology operations
  • Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead
  • Experience communicating and delivering presentations to customers, stakeholders, and/or teammates
  • Experience with development in a distributed systems environment
  • Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment
  • Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
  • Experience recognizing a challenge and working with a variety of teams and data sources to diagnose the problem and recommend solutions
  • Experience with AWS services and/or other cloud offerings Federal/DoD Clearances
  • Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars and ability to properly apply them to existing or new customer architecture, implementations, and/or solutions
