This role is for a Sr. Technical Account Manager (TAM) within AWS Enterprise Support, focusing on National Security customers. The TAM will act as a strategic technical advisor, helping customers adopt and utilize AWS services, including Generative AI and Machine Learning, to achieve their business and operational goals. The role requires deep technical expertise in distributed systems and cloud environments, strong customer-facing skills, and the ability to manage relationships with senior leadership. It is not a sales role but focuses on technical advocacy and strategic guidance.

  2. support our customers’ creative and transformative spirit of innovation across all technologies, including Compute, Storage, Database, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Big Data, Security, Networking, Serverless and more.
  3. be the strategic technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’ to National Security customers.
  4. help craft and execute strategies to drive our customers’ adoption and use of AWS services, including EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS databases, Lambda, SageMaker, ECS/EKS, GuardDuty, Systems Manager, OpenSearch, Bedrock, and many more.
  5. provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, and proactively keep your customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications experience
  • 5+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
  • Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) of the following: compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development in a distributed systems environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or 5+ years of technical work experience
  • Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience as a technical lead
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Nice to have

  • Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment
  • Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead
  • Experience with mission-critical, 24x7 operations
  • 7+ years of technical engineering experience in operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) or more of the following: Compute / Storage / Networking / CDN / Databases / DevOps / Big Data and Analytics / Security/ Applications Development in a distributed systems environment
  • Experience in Informational Technology operations
  • Professional oral and written communication skills, presenting to an audience containing one or more decision maker(s)
  • Experience with AWS services and/or other cloud offerings Federal/DoD Clearances
