This role is for a Sr. Technical Program Manager within AWS Infrastructure Services, focusing on Manufacturing Automation and Robotics. The individual will be responsible for developing and deploying robotic assembly and automation solutions for AWS rack fulfillment manufacturing sites. This involves analyzing hardware requirements, working with suppliers to develop and scale automation solutions for various hardware platforms, and ensuring manufacturing infrastructure scales efficiently and reliably. The role requires strong leadership, influencing skills, and technical depth to establish manufacturing standards and process control guidelines.

What you'd actually do

  1. Capacity modeling for line, testing, labors for exiting and new products factoring in cycle time, yield, utilization and other variables;
  2. Propose the line modeling (line vs cell) based on product complexity, volume, form factors etc.
  3. Work with NPI and Operation teams to monitor and revise the capacity model, making sure the capacity coverage for the demand;
  4. Engage continuous improvement projects within four-walls for cycle time, cost and quality;
  5. Engage in cross functional projects for the end-to-end fulfilment improvement from process and system perspectives

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
