Technical Program Manager to drive mission-critical programs at the intersection of compliance, data engineering, and AI. Owns end-to-end delivery of technical programs that power Microsoft’s compliance investigations, fraud detection, risk analytics, and AI-assisted legal operations — working across data scientists, engineers, attorneys, and investigators to translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into scalable, secure, and impactful technology solutions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own planning, execution, and delivery of complex cross-functional technical programs spanning compliance data platforms, AI/ML solutions, and investigation tooling
  2. Define program scope, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies across multiple concurrent workstreams
  3. Drive architecture decisions and technical trade-offs in partnership with data engineers, data scientists, and platform teams
  4. Ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with DOJ, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements
  5. Lead programs that build and operationalize AI/ML models for fraud detection, risk scoring, and proactive compliance monitoring

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • 4+ years managing cross-functional technical programs involving data platforms, analytics, or AI/ML systems
  • 2+ years working in compliance, legal technology, risk management, or regulated environments
  • Ability to drive programs from ambiguity to delivery across engineering, data science, and business teams
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, Fabric, Databricks) and modern BI/analytics tools (Power BI)
  • Experience with AI/ML operationalization — model development lifecycle, feature engineering, and model monitoring
  • Familiarity with graph analytics, knowledge graphs, or network analysis techniques
  • Experience with compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, CCPA, DMA, DSP) and investigation management platforms
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and multi-million-dollar program budgets
  • Background in fraud detection, AML, KYC, or financial compliance
