This role is for a Sr. Technical Program Manager focused on New Product Introduction (NPI) for service parts within Rivian's Service Supply Chain. The primary responsibilities include driving the implementation of new vehicle parts, managing the Service Bill of Materials (BOM), and ensuring supply chain readiness for new vehicle launches. The role requires strong program management, technical capabilities, and collaboration with design engineers, purchasing, and other supply chain partners to optimize service levels, mitigate obsolescence, and ensure supply continuity.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with Design Engineering to develop the Low Voltage, Electrical and Harness Service BOM for new vehicles, to determine which parts of the vehicle will be serviced and implemented in the global service network
  2. Go-to-Market new part introduction and program launch responsibilities (service level to service center launch)
  3. Ownership of End of Life parts analysis process to mitigate obsolescence, ensure supply continuity, mitigate inaccurate forecasting, and align on commercial and warehousing strategy terms
  4. Master data ownership and structure/maintenance of the Service BOM for your specific vehicle system (Low Voltage, Electrical and Harness) with high level of accuracy to ensure supply chain success
  5. Technical expertise and analysis of design changes in part designs to determine supersession and compatibility relationships for your parts

Skills

Required

  • 6+ years of experience in Automotive, Tier 1, OEM, or technical field
  • Bachelors (Masters Preferred) with emphasis in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering or related discipline
  • CAD/Catia/Enovia/PLM experience
  • Experience analyzing design changes
  • Experience managing complex Bills of Material
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP with focused experience on product lifecycle management, bills of material, supply chain operations, and procure to pay processes
  • Excellent project management
  • Strong collaborator, with willingness to drive change
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities
  • Broad experience defining, launching, and driving strategic process redesign initiatives
  • Process design experience
  • Ability to sit or stand for 8-12 hours per day
  • Required to communicate using telephone and/or email
  • Ability to view, read, and interpret documents
  • Ability to perform all duties in an office environment
