Sr. Technical Program Manager, Platform & Data (hybrid - Seattle, Wa)

Nordstrom Nordstrom · Retail · Seattle, WA

This role is for a Senior Technical Program Manager on the Insights Delivery team at Nordstrom. The primary focus is on driving AI-first metric definition/standardization and data quality programs to enable trusted decision-making. The role involves partnering with data engineering and analytics teams to shape data governance practices and scale an enterprise data governance operating model using AI-first approaches. While AI is mentioned as a tool and a guiding principle, the core function is program management for data governance and quality, not direct AI/ML model development or deployment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Scale and mature Nordstrom’s enterprise data governance operating model—strengthening ownership, stewardship, data quality, and AI-first metric standardization so leaders can rely on consistent, trusted reporting.
  2. Drive execution by owning roadmaps, timelines, dependencies, and delivery across governance initiatives, surfacing risks and trade-offs early.
  3. Partner with product, engineering, data platform, analytics, and business leaders (e.g., Supply Chain, Customer, Marketing, Merchandising) to embed governance into end-to-end data lifecycle workflows and tools—and align priorities, requirements, and adoption.
  4. Lead change and alignment through workshops, clear communications, and enablement—building shared understanding, adoption, and accountability for high-quality, well-governed data.
