This role is for a Sr. Technical Program Manager within Databricks' Professional Services team, focusing on the Communications, Media, Entertainment, & Gaming (CMEG) sector. The primary responsibility is to ensure the successful delivery of complex customer engagements by providing technical leadership, guiding implementation teams, and managing project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resources. While not a hands-on coding role, it requires strong technical acumen to guide architectural decisions, identify and mitigate technical risks, and act as a primary escalation point for technical delivery issues. What you'd actually do

  1. Be responsible for the successful delivery of our most complex customer engagements by providing technical leadership and guidance to the implementation team.
  2. Guide technical teams through key architectural decisions, helping them navigate trade-offs between established and innovative approaches.
  3. Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies that could impact project timelines and goals.
  4. Individually deliver on commitments by producing high-quality deliverables, status reports, program plans, and customer responses that require minimal rework.
  5. Effectively manage all aspects of a program, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resources, with a focus on technical complexity.
