Sr Technical Specialist, Emerging Solutions, Water

This role is for a Senior Technical Specialist in the water sector, focusing on operational analytics, asset management, and modeling technologies within the EMEA region. The specialist will act as a subject matter expert to support sales growth, engage with clients, and demonstrate the value of Autodesk Water solutions. Responsibilities include collaborating with sales teams, understanding customer needs, providing technical presentations and demonstrations, and influencing product development through customer feedback.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with Autodesk Water Product Sales Specialists and other members of the Autodesk and Autodesk Solution Provider sales teams to validate customer success plans and help execute on strategy/tactics for closing business and driving expansion
  2. Develop the required level of knowledge of customers' business processes, workflows, and technical requirements to build "trusted advisor" relationships with customers
  3. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the business processes, technology trends, and workflows within the water domain, to provide insight and guidance required to position the value of current and new Autodesk solutions
  4. Demonstrate thought leadership to the customer to differentiate Autodesk and gain acceptance that Autodesk is a long-term solution provider
  5. Happy to lead or facilitate discovery workshops of varying sizes to help uncover business issues/drivers/initiatives and use this information to help connect with Autodesk Water solutions to deliver business outcome value

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of experience working in the UK Water Sector
  • Business fluency in English
  • Engineering degree and or equivalent certification
  • Practical experience applying operational analytics and asset management solutions within water and wastewater utility environments
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic modelling specific tools
  • Experience in supporting and or collaborating with sales teams, ideally in a technical sales role in the hydrologic/hydraulic engineering Software/SaaS solution space
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with all levels of organisations

Nice to have

  • Practical experience in the use of Autodesk Water solutions such as InfoWorks ICM, InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoDrainage highly valued
  • Experience with Salesforce is valuable
  • Additional European language (Spanish preferred)
