This role focuses on developing and improving test processes for complex electronic assemblies and test equipment within the defense industry. Responsibilities include analyzing product specifications, resolving production issues, developing scalable test systems, providing technical troubleshooting, analyzing test data for compliance and process improvements, maintaining documentation, and ensuring safety compliance. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM, 5+ years of experience with data acquisition systems and analysis tools, and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leveraging Expertise: Utilize in-depth product and test equipment knowledge to resolve production issues quickly and reduce downtime.
  2. Scalable Test Environments: Develop robust, scalable test systems, collaborating with test equipment maintenance and engineering teams to ensure reliability and implement improvements.
  3. Technical Support: Provide technical troubleshooting for hardware testing and support defect resolution through root cause analysis (RCCA) and corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  4. Data-Driven Insights: Analyze production test data to ensure compliance, identify trends, and drive process and testing strategy improvements.
  5. Documentation and Standards: Maintain accurate and accessible test-related documentation, ensuring all guidelines are up-to-date and adhered to during rework and retesting.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
  • 5+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, systems, and equipment
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and analysis tools/software (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice to have

  • Advanced to expert knowledge of RF circuits, components, and related test equipment (e.g., Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers)
  • Proficiency in test software suites like TestStand and LabView
  • Strong skills in test and fault isolation, as well as statistical data analysis
  • Comprehensive ability to interpret test requirements, schematic diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of Raytheon projects, programs, or systems
  • Knowledge and application of RTX CORE principles and continuous improvement techniques
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and shop floor tools like PRISM, PDM, and CMES
  • Practical knowledge of statistical evaluation tools, including SPC and data distribution analysis
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Self-driven and efficient in teamwork-oriented environments
  • Proven initiative, accountability, and commitment to responsibilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation capabilities
  • Active US Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance (Secret)
  • A Master's degree is preferred
