Sr. Trade Compliance Analyst

This role focuses on executing Peloton's Customs policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with US and Canada regulations, and overseeing Customs brokers for Peloton's subsidiary, Precor Inc. The analyst will manage import tariffs, maintain 'reasonable care' controls, conduct audits, assign HTS classifications, and assist with trade compliance programs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Oversee, measure and audit the accuracy and timeliness of Precor’s Customs brokers in the US and Canada, with occasional support to Precor’s EMEA and APAC markets
  2. Conduct regular audits of Precor’s import data and duty payments, utilizing CBP’s ACE and CBSA’s CARM portals
  3. Assign global Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classifications for Precor’s new SKUs and product lines
  4. Inform Precor’s global sourcing strategies for new manufacturing and distributing locations
  5. Assist in the development and execution of Precor’s value reconciliation and duty drawback programs

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience working for an importer, Customs broker and/or trade consultancy
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Customs regulations (including recent US tariff stacking rules), the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and CBP’s value reconciliation and duty drawback programs
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across a variety of stakeholders to influence outcomes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner
  • Excellent organizational skills

Nice to have

  • Customs Broker License (LCB) is strongly preferred
  • Experience with SAP and ThomsonReuters ONESOURCE GTM is a plus
