Sr. User Researcher

Peloton is seeking a Senior User Researcher with a strong foundation in hardware research to support the innovation, iteration, and optimization of their products, as well as the development of future products and experiences. The role involves understanding the intersection of physical and digital experiences, collaborating with various product teams, and conducting both qualitative and quantitative research using a range of methodologies. The researcher will also be responsible for evolving research processes and infrastructure, and presenting findings to stakeholders. Experience with AI tools in research workflows is mentioned as a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Continually evolve our process for organizing user research and testing across multiple product teams, ensuring appropriate prioritization of projects, and crafting and managing short and long term research roadmaps and plans.
  2. Collaborate with Product Managers, Industrial Designers, Engineers, and Field Testing Program Managers to identify hardware user research goals based on ambiguous problem statements, and then scope, plan, and execute research to address those goals.
  3. Collaborate with Product Managers, Product designers, Data Scientists, and Engineers to scope, plan, and execute software research, as needed.
  4. Partner with research operations to source participants for user testing, and handle logistics and schedules around live, in-person or remote testing.
  5. Conduct user research for hardware and software, and the interaction between the two.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of user research and testing experience
  • experience working across both hardware and software product teams
  • Experience conducting research across both physical product development and software/digital experiences
  • strong foundation in hardware, human factors, or physical product development
  • Experience analyzing research findings and reporting concise and concrete insights and recommendations
  • Experience developing processes to organize work across multiple people and teams
  • Experience with remote and in-person user research methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills
  • Self-starter; ability to act autonomously
  • Constant attention to detail
