Responsibilities include documenting test results, supporting root cause analysis, selecting and installing instrumentation, operating standard test equipment, and fabricating special test equipment and mechanical fixtures. The role requires a technical degree or equivalent experience in electronics or mechanics, with significant experience in environmental validation testing and fabricating electronic test equipment and harnesses. Experience with high voltage safety practices is also necessary.

What you'd actually do

  1. Set up and run development and validation tests (thermal, vibration, humidity, corrosion, electrical performance) on High Voltage Power Electronics
  2. Document test results and provide test reports
  3. Support the technical root cause and resolution of issues found during testing
  4. Select and install instrumentation needed to collect response data from the test item during testing (accelerometers, strain gauges, pressure gauges, thermocouples, voltage sense leads, etc.)
  5. Utilize standard test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and flowmeters with no direction
