About Amazon Japan / Sports & Outdoors Amazon's vision is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. In Japan, we have been operating since 2000. The Sports & Outdoors division manages a wide range of categories including Cycling, Outdoor Leisure, and Fitness, supporting our customers' active lifestyles. We are not just selling products — we are designing experiences that allow customers to start using their purchases with confidence and safety. For large-format products in particular, we are building innovative service models that solve post-purchase challenges such as assembly and maintenance. We are now seeking a leader to drive this initiative forward.
Position Overview As Sr. Vendor Manager for the Cycling category, you will drive end-to-end growth of the bicycle business on Amazon Japan. While managing the existing business across accessories, parts, and apparel, your primary mission is to pioneer the e-commerce sales of assembled bicycles — a category that has historically faced significant barriers to online adoption. At the core of this role is scaling a new service model where customers purchase bicycles online and pick them up at partner bike shops after professional assembly and safety inspection. You will take this early-stage service and bring it to full-scale operation, with a future scope extending across the broader Heavy & Bulky product categories. We are looking for someone with a business development mindset who can drive new service design through to implementation and continuous improvement, in close collaboration with multiple internal teams and external partners. This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role, but you will also actively mentor and guide team members.
At Amazon, you'll work alongside the latest AI and GenAI tools that are increasingly woven into how teams operate: from AI-powered capabilities that accelerate decision-making, to Generative AI that helps you focus on work that truly matters. You'll have opportunities and resources to develop AI fluency at your own pace, with continuous learning built into the culture.
