Sr. Warehouse Associate

This role is for a Sr. Warehouse Associate responsible for material handling, including inbound, outbound, inventory, and repackaging activities. The associate will foster a safe working environment, maintain cleanliness, and provide feedback on improvement opportunities. Key responsibilities include loading/unloading, operating powered equipment, managing inventory discrepancies, and participating in continuous improvement projects. Experience in warehouse operations, forklift operation, and basic computer skills are required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Load and unload delivery vehicles
  2. Repackage materials to meet the distribution requirements for Service Parts
  3. Operate several types of powered equipment (forklift, stock chaser, etc.)
  4. Identify inventory concerns based on quantity or quality discrepancies
  5. Provide input into safety, quality, and throughput opportunities

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Experience and understanding of utilizing a RF hand-held scanner
  • Understanding and compliant to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day
  • Ability to handle materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stoop and kneel
  • Ability to communicate using telephone or email
  • Ability to view, read, and interpret documents, safety rules, and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to repetitively lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Commitment to work a flexible schedule

Nice to have

  • 2-4 years of experience performing picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operating in a Warehouse or Distribution Center environment
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment (automotive preferred)
  • Previous stand-up forklift experience and ability to operate up to seven hours per day (Stand-Up Raymond MHE preferred)
  • Comfortable with operating an order picker (Cherry Picker) above floor level
  • Knowledge of LEAN practices (5s, Identify Waste, Process Improvements)
  • Led or participated in a continuous improvement project
