Sr. Warehouse Associate

This role is for a Sr. Warehouse Associate responsible for material handling, including inbound, outbound, inventory, and repackaging activities within a warehouse or distribution center environment. The position emphasizes fostering a safe working environment, maintaining cleanliness, and providing feedback on improvement opportunities. It requires experience with powered equipment, inventory discrepancy identification, and knowledge of LEAN practices. The role is not directly AI/ML related.

What you'd actually do

  1. Load and unload delivery vehicles
  2. Repackage materials to meet the distribution requirements for Service Parts
  3. Operate several types of powered equipment (forklift, stock chaser, etc.)
  4. Identify inventory concerns based on quantity or quality discrepancies
  5. Provide input into safety, quality, and throughput opportunities

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma, GED, or other recognized high school equivalency credential
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Experience and understanding of utilizing a RF hand-held scanner
  • Understanding and compliant to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day
  • Frequent use of hands to handle cumbersome or odd-shaped materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to stoop and kneel to retrieve materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to repetitively lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform all duties in the warehouse that may contain dust, high noise, hot and cold weather
  • Commitment to work a flexible schedule

Nice to have

  • 2-4 years of experience performing picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operating in a Warehouse or Distribution Center environment
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment (automotive preferred)
  • Previous stand-up forklift experience and ability to operate up to seven hours per day (Stand-Up Raymond MHE preferred)
  • Ability to understand tasks and responsibilities
  • Knowledge of LEAN practices (5s, Identify Waste, Process Improvements)
  • Led or participated in a continuous improvement project
