Staff Android Engineer for Reddit's Home Experience team, responsible for the core feed on the app and website. This role involves technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, driving product development, and ensuring operational excellence and system observability for a high-traffic, large-scale consumer product.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be the technical lead for a high-caliber, inclusive team of engineers across the organization.
  2. Work cross-functionally, collaborate and partner with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to design and build novel products and features that our users will love.
  3. Work alongside a team of thoughtful, fast-moving, and motivated engineers. Drive step-function improvements in developer workflows, implement best practices, and mentor engineers across the organization..
  4. Participate in the full development cycle: design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch. You’ll be writing and reviewing code and design docs, giving feedback on product specs and mocks, and ensuring successful delivery of key projects.
  5. You will be a main driver in the planning, development, and implementation across Reddit’s Android architecture in conjunction with numerous partner teams, identifying and delivering on major opportunities.
