Staff Brand Designer

Brex is seeking a Staff Brand Designer to evolve its brand identity system and drive visual language forward. This role involves defining brand standards, creating new brand expressions, and leading high-impact brand work. The designer will collaborate with Marketing, Web, and Product teams to ensure the brand is distinctive and scalable. The role requires expertise in identity systems, typography, and visual systems, with practical experience using AI tools in the creative process.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own and evolve Brex’s brand identity system, including visual language, typography, color, illustration, and brand patterns
  2. Define and maintain brand standards that balance consistency with creative flexibility across teams and channels
  3. Translate company strategy and brand vision into clear, compelling visual direction in partnership with leadership
  4. Design and deliver new brand expressions that advance the identity while preserving recognition and equity
  5. Lead high-impact brand work beyond the core system, including special campaigns, sub-brands, and select product or service launches

  • Strong ability to articulate design decisions and build alignment with cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders
  • Experience working across multiple workstreams in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with comfort prototyping and iterating quickly
  • Practical experience using AI tools in the creative process with sound judgment on when and how to apply them
