Staff Business Intelligence Analyst role focused on driving data-driven decision making for Product and Engineering teams through advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and KPI analysis. Requires strong SQL/R/Python, BI tools, and Adtech experience.

What you'd actually do

  1. Surface insights from multiple data sources to support complex operational decision making for Product and Engineering teams. Execute and/or coordinate critical, advanced analytics initiatives providing an interpretation of findings and the implications to The Trade Desk
  2. Provide analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics across various business areas and develop actionable insights for leadership.
  3. Influence The Trade Desk leadership by proactively seeking and framing opportunities and identifying business risks.
  4. Develop solutions that deliver critical data-driven insights and decision metrics proactively and at scale.
  5. Participate in and lead cross-functional teams whose members include Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Operations, People Analytics, and Finance

Skills

Required

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative or scientific field or equivalent experience
  • 12-15+ years of analytical experience in advanced analysis and predictive analytics
  • Significant proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as SQL/R/Python
  • Expert level experience with standard analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
  • Ability to create presentations conveying compelling data-driven stories
  • Experience with business intelligence (BI) and analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Demonstrated curiosity to understand the “why” in the data
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Proven track record with presenting complex data-driven insights to stakeholders at all levels including senior and executive leadership
  • Ability to understand complicated problems and supply concise and relevant answers
  • Ability to convey technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently in rapidly growing environment, handling multiple competing priorities with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to build consensus across cross-functional and across geographic teams
  • Ability to come up to speed quickly on complex business topics
  • Must possess a 'can-do' attitude
  • Must have the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff
