Staff Cyber Systems Engineer (requirements Development)

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer to ensure cyber survivability attributes are implemented in system designs. This role involves assessing customer cybersecurity requirements, deriving system cybersecurity requirements, guiding security architecture and tool selection, and evaluating implementations to identify security risks. The engineer will also guide verification efforts, define security governance, and manage risk. The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity Engineering, direct experience with NIST 800-160, RMF documentation, and a Secret clearance. IASAE Level II certification (CISSP) is required, with the ability to obtain Level III within 6 months.

What you'd actually do

  1. Author and review requirement decomposition, derivation, and flow down
  2. Implement and review traceability of requirements throughout a spec tree architecture
  3. Support the architecture and design of baked in cybersecurity requirements and protections
  4. Document and review traceability of requirements to the design & its models
  5. Implement and review the application of cybersecurity profile stereotypes to a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Architecture
