Staff Electrical Engineer for an autonomous aircraft company, focusing on full product and circuit design for flight-critical subsystems, including analog, digital, high-speed, power, compute, sensors, and FPGA. Responsibilities include designing for high reliability in challenging environments, full-cycle hardware development, PCB ownership, board bring-up, testing, cross-functional collaboration, design review leadership, and program execution. Requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and familiarity with circuit design, schematic capture, testing, debugging, system integration, and Altium.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own full product and circuit design for flight critical subsystems. This includes analog, digital, high-speed, power, compute, sensors, FPGA, and other functional blocks as needed
  2. Design for high reliability in challenging environments. Including temperature, altitude, radiation, and vibration
  3. Full-cycle hardware development: Own the entire flow — concept, modeling, worst case analysis, schematic capture, simulation, prototyping, design reiteration for improving design maturity, testing and validation
  4. PCB ownership: Drive PCB layout and design with ECAD engineers, optimizing for power density, EMI, thermal, and manufacturability
  5. Design for Safety, Manufacturability and Reliability: Design robust systems keeping in mind best practices for safety, manufacturing and reliability
