This role is for a Staff Employee Relations Manager at Databricks, focusing on partnering with leaders, managing employee performance concerns, conducting investigations, and handling employee representative bodies. What you'd actually do

  1. Consult with managers and people generalists, providing guidance to address the most complex employee performance concerns.
  2. Conduct investigations, including gathering and analyzing facts, applying relevant policies, guidelines and laws to reaching findings.
  3. Partner with Employment Legal, Compliance team members and other internal investigative bodies as needed.
  4. Prepare investigation reports, track work in case management system and draft disciplinary documentation as needed.
  5. Partner with our People Partner team to manage investigations, employee disciplinary issues, and performance management situations

Skills

Required

  • 10 years of experience in Employee Relations
  • Strategic partnership with managers
  • Advising and coaching managers on complex employee issues
  • Conducting corporate investigations of sensitive workplace concerns
  • Experience with Works Councils/Employee Representative Boards

Nice to have

  • Law degree or graduate degree in labor/industrial relations
