Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to support the Sentinel program. The role involves designing system architecture, developing software in an agile environment, and creating automated test procedures. Responsibilities include collaborating with engineers to develop automated tools and creating Software Test Plans and Procedures. Requires a Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience (or equivalent), an active DoD Secret clearance, and experience with build tools, CI/CD environments, scripting languages, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker). Experience with automation/configuration management tools like Ansible is preferred.

  1. Design and define system architecture for new or existing software products
  2. Develop software in an agile development environment
  3. Design automated test procedures for software verification activities
  4. Collaborate with the lead software engineer and a team of software engineers to establish and develop automated tools
  5. Develop Software Test Plans and Procedures for team software products

  • Build tools (i.e., Maven, Ant, GNU make)
  • Continuous integration environments (i.e., Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo)
  • Repositories (i.e. Nexus, JFROG)
  • Microsoft and Linux Red Hat operating system
  • Scripting languages (i.e. PERL, Python, Bash, YAML)
  • Container orchestration and container technologies (i.e. Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift)
  • Virtualization Technologies for CI/CD pipelines
  • Deploying and configuring Microsoft Internet Information System (IIS)
  • IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security + CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months
