Staff Engineer, Growth

Chime Chime · Fintech · San Francisco, CA · Growth Engineering

Staff Software Engineer on the Growth team at Chime, focusing on early stage member experience. This role will leverage AI/LLMs to improve org productivity, personalize member experiences, and speed up decision-making. The engineer will lead design and implementation of high-impact, member-facing systems, set technical vision, and drive experimentation strategy in a fast-paced fintech environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the design and implementation of high-impact, member-facing systems across the Growth stack
  2. Set the technical vision for high-traffic systems with a scalable, forward-looking approach that meets Chime's reliability and latency standards
  3. Drive experimentation strategy and execution by building the systems and habits to test, learn, and iterate quickly — without sacrificing durability
  4. Identify and solve systemic challenges in performance, availability, and conversion-critical reliability across the Growth stack
  5. Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Analytics, and Data to shape product direction and ensure technical feasibility and excellence
