Staff Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Engineer responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining unique nondestructive inspection techniques, methods, and procedures. Works with design, project, and Quality Engineers to select and implement the best NDT method to ensure product quality and conformance. The role involves reviewing engineering designs, preparing inspection documentation, performing technical audits, managing NDT personnel certification, holding NDT Level III certifications, participating in R&D for system improvements, and producing customer reports. Requires a Bachelor's degree with 12 years of NDT experience and Level 3 certification in specific NDT methods. Experience with adopting new NDT technologies is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Review Engineering designs and drawings and provide correct NDT method description for the critical defect size and type of material being inspected.
  2. Prepare inspection documentation to identify test parameters and requirements.
  3. Perform technical audits of NDT personnel in the field.
  4. Manage department’s NDT certification compliance.
  5. Hold one or more NDT Level III certifications.
