Shield AI is seeking a Staff Operational Analyst to model, simulate, and analyze their AI-powered aircraft systems. The role involves evaluating system effectiveness, survivability, and operational impact in military scenarios, collaborating with engineering and product teams, and performing trade studies. This requires expertise in military operations, M&S, data science, and operational analysis, with a focus on demonstrating how AI platforms perform in contested environments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Execute operational analyses to assess the effectiveness of autonomous systems in representative military scenarios.
  2. Develop and run modeling, simulation, and wargaming analyses to evaluate system performance, mission impact, and survivability in contested environments.
  3. Collaborate with engineering teams and product managers to translate operational findings into actionable system insights.
  4. Perform trade studies and sensitivity analyses to assess system performance across varying operational conditions, assumptions, and threat environments.
  5. Build, modify, and analyze mission-level models using tools such as AFSIM, STK, MATLAB, Python, or similar M&S frameworks.
