Staff Process Engineer at Northrop Grumman responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing manufacturing processes, creating work instructions, improving productivity, analyzing data, investigating manufacturing problems, and implementing corrective actions. The role supports proposal and development activities and provides day-to-day support to manufacturing personnel. Requires a technical degree with significant experience, knowledge of SPC, GD&T, and Lean/Agile Manufacturing. A Secret Clearance and ATF approval are required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Adhere to all department and plant safety rules
  2. Assist in establishing safety requirements for facilities and equipment.
  3. Develop Manufacturing Process, documentation, and equipment layout that ensures production hardware and test articles meet engineering and configuration requirements
  4. Establish Key Characteristics for manufacturing/processing and ensure systems are in place to monitor and control them Generate specifications for procurement of new equipment.
  5. Provide analysis and data to support review boards and investigations

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors degree or relevant experience in a technical field with minimum 12 years of experience or Masters degree in a technical field with minimum 10 years of relevant experience
