Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Survivability Engineer - Mission Integration to lead an interdisciplinary team in developing Electronic Warfare subsystems for developmental programs. Responsibilities include technical management of partners, requirements development, system integration, and testing of HW/SW subsystems. The role requires expertise in electromagnetics, RF/EW applications, and algorithm development, with a strong emphasis on system engineering and supplier management. A Top Secret SCI clearance with Special Program Access is mandatory.

What you'd actually do

  1. Technical management of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration, and test support
  2. Lead and support technical discussions with the customer and having daily interaction with management, external personnel, customers, and various sub teams
  3. Guiding the team through development/implementation activities.
  4. Requirements development, analysis, maturation, and implementation, translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
  5. Performing risk analysis, developing mitigation plans, and tracking to closure

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 10 years of related professional/military experience; or a Ph.D. AND 8 years of related professional/military experience
  • Knowledge of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum (VHF through Ka bands)
  • Experience with Electronic Warfare, Electronic Support, and multifunction subsystems
  • Experience in RF/EW applications, including developing and applying models in Matlab, Python, and/or C/C++, along with experience in tracking and algorithm development.
  • Familiarity with 1 or more RF sensing modalities and their applications.
  • Experience in decomposing, deriving, allocating and tracing requirements from system to component level
  • Experience with developing supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of work
  • Experience in supplier/subcontract management
  • Experience with working on a multidisciplinary team and writing technical proposals
  • Experience designing, developing, integrating, and/or testing RF equipment for airborne platforms
  • Knowledge of system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation and interface control documentation
  • An active U.S. Government issued Top Secret SCI Security Clearance as well as Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
