Staff Systems Engineer focused on feature architecture for Integrated Functional Capabilities (IFC) 3.0 within a major development program for Northrop Grumman's SDS Division. The role involves coordinating development efforts, defining system functions, managing hardware/software integration, and ensuring requirements are met for ground and flight tests, requiring experience in systems engineering, architecture development (Cameo), and DoD processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Coordinate the efforts of other Feature architecture personnel to develop system engineering artifacts necessary to scope software development
  2. Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop rigorous and proper systems engineering and design artifacts.
  3. feature development, requirements definition, requirements allocation, requirements traceability, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification.
  4. Work with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature WS design of a large program.
  5. Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.

Skills

Required

  • STEM Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience, or Master's with 10, or PhD with 8
  • US Citizenship
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain Special Access Programs (SAP) clearance
  • 4+ years' experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems
  • 4+ years' experience in developing and executing Systems Engineering process governance documentation in a DoD Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase
  • 4+ years' experience in creating, updating, and maintaining requirements specifications
