Staff Fpga Engineer, Intelligence Systems

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Reston, VA · AFS : Intelligence Systems Engineering

Staff FPGA Engineer role focused on designing, testing, and implementing FPGA designs on Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms for defense technology company Anduril Industries. Responsibilities include integrating third-party IP, participating in the full design lifecycle, implementing various signal types, ensuring safety and performance standards, and resolving bugs. Requires 12+ years of experience in FPGA design, proficiency in VHDL/Verilog, and experience with SoC hardware bring-up. Familiarity with Vivado, ModelSim, or Quartus is preferred. The role is within the Intelligence Systems division, which develops specialized engineering and products for Intelligence Community customers.

What you'd actually do

  1. Integrate third-party vendors IP, as necessary.
  2. Participate in entire design life cycle: from requirements and concept, through design and hand on testing/board bring up.
  3. Implement a variety of signal types such as high speed comms (ethernet, serial), signal processing (analog, digital).
  4. Ensure designs meet all relevant safety and performance standards, with traceability back to top-level system requirements, as necessary.
  5. Investigate and resolve bugs found during hand on testing (at HDL level and system level).
