Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Multidisciplined Electronic Systems Engineer with expertise in RF systems, software-defined radios, and IP networking to integrate, troubleshoot, and maintain antenna systems and their RF processing chains. The role involves system architecture, performance optimization, and collaboration with software and network engineering teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Operate and maintain front-end RF components, including software-defined radios and modems.
  2. Work collaboratively with network engineering teams to define system architecture and ensure seamless integration of RF systems with network infrastructure.
  3. Utilize knowledge of IP addressing and routing protocols to enhance the performance and reliability of RF communications.
  4. Troubleshoot network configurations and connectivity issues impacting RF system performance.
  5. Work with software developers to integrate new hardware components into the system and deliver end-to-end automated processes.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors-STEM degree
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Expertise in software-defined radios and modems
  • Strong understanding of IP networking principles
  • Experience troubleshooting network issues related to digital RF communications
  • Knowledge of basic antenna design and electromagnetic principles
  • Proficient in RF simulation tools and networking software
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
