Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Network Architect to execute a comprehensive network strategy aligned with digital engineering, digital thread, and advanced analytics for weapon system design. The role involves overseeing network infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance, collaborating with leaders on data initiatives, and managing network risks. It also includes mentoring a network team and working with Cyber SSE Lead on the RMF process. Requires a Secret clearance and experience with cloud/hybrid cloud environments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Execute a comprehensive network strategy, aligned with the organization’s goals, and focuses on digital engineering, digital thread, and advanced analytics across weapon system design for initial development through sustainment.
  2. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable network infrastructure, to include network design, architecture, specifications, and equipment selection per DoD requirements.
  3. Collaborate with engineering and business leaders to align data initiatives with program goals.
  4. Responsible for design and implementation of network configurations and coordinating with the peers, SMEs, and government engineers.
  5. Review, analyze, and incorporate technical requirements into end-to-end system architectures

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or a Masters’ Degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 8 years of relevant experience. 4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, architecting, and deploying complex network infrastructures.
  • Experience producing Network Topology Diagrams and deployment guides for rapid field setup.
  • Software Engineering Experience
  • Amazon Cloud/Hybrid Cloud Experience A must

Nice to have

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in data engineering, data science, computer science, cloud computing, or a related field.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance
  • Certifications: Network+, CCNP, CCIE, Security+
  • Experience with or understanding network automation scripting using Ansible, Python, Bash, and Shell.
  • Secure Network Design
  • SYSML and UAF Models Experience
  • Experience with DISA STIGs as they apply to network devices
