What you'd actually do

  1. Provides pharmaceutical care to Customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, counseling Customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs, maintaining confidential information, maintaining controlled medication and required documentation.
  2. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
  3. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
  4. Models, enforces, and provides direction and guidance to Associates on proper Customer service approaches and techniques to ensure Customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within Company guidelines and standards.
  5. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Skills

Required

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree
  • Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software and technology

Nice to have

  • Experience in retail pharmacy
  • Immunization certification
  • Leadership or supervisory experience
