Staff Product Manager, Agent Studio

The Staff Product Manager will define the vision and execution for Algolia's Agent Studio, a platform for building, evaluating, and scaling agentic applications. This role involves driving product discovery, formulating strategy, defining abstraction layers, and partnering with engineering and design to ship builder experiences. The focus is on enabling developers and business users to compose retrieval, memory, workflows, tools, and evaluation, and to ship these workflows to production with confidence and governance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive product discovery to define the who, why, and what of Agent Studio.
  2. Formulate, align, and communicate the strategy, vision, and roadmap for Agent Studio across the organization.
  3. Define the abstraction layers (workflow blocks, memory & tool adapters, eval harnesses, guardrails) that let developers and business users build reliably.
  4. Mock up concepts, write functional specs, cut tickets, draft copy : whatever it takes to push the product throughout its lifecycle.
  5. Partner deeply with engineers, designers, and other PMs to ship delightful, powerful builder experiences.

Skills

Required

  • Proven experience in building and shipping developer-first platforms, tools, or APIs.
  • Demonstrated success in shipping and iterating products within an agile development environment.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support to launch and scale products.
  • Strong ability to frame technical and business problems, craft strategies, and deliver simple solutions.
  • Deep curiosity and user empathy for both developers and business users.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Expertise in agentic workflows, retrieval (keyword, vector, hybrid), memory, or orchestration frameworks.
  • Familiarity with LLM evaluation, telemetry, governance, and provenance.
  • Technical background with hands-on coding experience (for fun, school, or work).
  • Experience in or strong understanding of eCommerce, content-heavy use cases, or media workflows.
  • Proven experience in designing workflow automation or builder tools that empower teams and enhance productivity.
