Okta is seeking a Staff Product Marketing Manager, Security to lead the go-to-market strategy and messaging for Okta's security offerings, particularly in the context of AI. The role involves technical evangelism, creating compelling narratives around identity-centric security, and defining Okta's position on securing AI agents and an AI-driven threat landscape. The ideal candidate blends technical depth with business strategy and execution skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and execute the go-to-market strategy for Okta’s foundational access and authentication platform.
  2. Move beyond high-level messaging to create "show-not-tell" technical content.
  3. Own the messaging, positioning, and competitive differentiation for our core access technologies.
  4. Define the strategy for securing the new wave of AI.
  5. Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to build technical buyer-focused assets—including technical comparisons, FAQs, and field enablement materials—specifically designed for the Global 2000.

Skills

Required

  • Product marketing or product management experience in cybersecurity or identity management (IAM, AD, or Entra ID)
  • Technical proficiency and ability to support technical evaluations
  • Ability to configure and demo products to technical buyers
  • Experience in creating technical content and demonstrations
  • Strong storytelling and messaging skills
  • Understanding of foundational identity signals and their relation to security outcomes
  • Stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

  • CS Degree or technical background in systems architecture or engineering
  • Experience with modern identity protocols and securing hybrid environments
  • Experience in the AI space, specifically regarding the security implications of LLMs and agentic workflows
