Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a Staff Project Engineer for Test and Evaluation. The role involves supporting the development and execution of testing for various defense systems, including AI-powered platforms. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and documenting test activities, ensuring safe operations, and collaborating with engineering teams and stakeholders. The position requires a strong background in test engineering, a Top Secret clearance, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. As a Staff Project Engineer, under minimal supervision, you will determine and develop various approaches to achieve T&E goals and help guide and perform the completion of test activities
  2. Support execution of testing at private and government owned test ranges
  3. Internally deconflict test events with other Anduril programs and efforts
  4. Responsible for safe operation of all testing efforts
  5. Work closely with Engineering to discuss test results, to include collected data and observations.

Skills

Required

  • Current Top Secret Security Clearance
  • 10+ years of test engineering experience or comparable skill
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
  • execute the full test engineering process for a System-of-Systems
  • Experience producing customer facing test deliverables
  • Experience as a test conductor, test director, or similar role
  • ability to understand new concepts quickly and solve problems
  • work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • work across multiple large initiatives

Nice to have

  • Experience with the Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community
  • Experience working with the National Airspace System, UAS regulations, or other flight related regulations
  • Experience working with test pilots/operators
  • Experience utilizing a Linux Operating System (Ubuntu, Debian, etc) or using Command Line Interface with another operating system
  • Experience conducted safety reviews for kinetic testing or testing requiring the use of Infrared sensor systems
  • Experience in C++, Python, or other programming languages for data analysis
  • Possess, with the ability to maintain, a FAA part 107 certificate
