Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a Staff Radar Engineer to lead systems architecture and mode development for airborne radar systems. The role involves developing advanced radar processing algorithms, driving end-to-end radar system design, and providing technical leadership in software development for real-time processing. The position requires deep expertise in airborne radar systems engineering, algorithm development, and DSP, with a strong focus on operational deployment and customer engagement. Experience in MATLAB, Python, and C++ is preferred, along with a Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead systems architecture and mode development for airborne radar systems across manned and unmanned platforms
  2. Develop and implement advanced radar processing algorithms with focus on DSP, waveform design, and electronic protection techniques
  3. Drive end-to-end radar system design from concept through operational deployment, ensuring operationally-focused solutions
  4. Design and refine advanced airborne RF sensing modes and algorithms including SAR, ISAR, GMTI, and air-to-air tracking
  5. Conduct rigorous system-level analysis and requirements decomposition for airborne radar subsystems

What the JD emphasized

  • 12+ years of experience & a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, or other technical field (advanced degree strongly preferred)
  • Proven experience in a Staff or Principal-level technical leadership role developing operational airborne defense radar systems

  • Strong background in algorithm development, digital signal processing, and electronic protection techniques
