Staff Reliability Engineer, Aircraft Systems

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company developing advanced military systems. This role focuses on Reliability Engineering for aircraft systems, ensuring products meet performance requirements and withstand challenging conditions. Responsibilities include leading Failure Modes & Effects Analysis, performing predictive reliability analysis, developing qualification test plans, and implementing reliability processes throughout the product lifecycle. The role requires extensive experience in reliability engineering, safety-critical systems, and various reliability analysis techniques.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support and review system block diagrams, interface control documents, and schematics for compliance, redundancy, and accuracy against requirements and concept of operations.
  2. Lead Failure Modes & Effects Analysis efforts and collaborate with cross-functional Engineering teams to implement product improvements for Reliability.
  3. Perform predictive reliability analysis to calculate probability of loss of control, loss of asset, and MTTF/MTBF utilizing Anduril requirements, specifications, and relevant industry standards (i.e. 217Plus).
  4. Develop Qualification Test, ALT, and/or HALT plans to ensure appropriate requirements coverage, and work with Test Engineering to fixture, instrument, and execute test campaigns.
  5. Develop Maintainability prediction models using MIL-HDBK-472, and support the development of Preventative Maintenance & Sparing plans.
