Staff Remanufacturing Engineer, Drive Unit & Dyno (end of Line Testing)

Staff Remanufacturing Engineer responsible for the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of the Drive Unit End-of-Line Test (EOLT) / dyno system and associated remanufacturing processes at Rivian's remanufacturing facility. This role involves troubleshooting, process development, validation, and collaboration with various engineering teams to ensure safe, repeatable, and capable operations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as the primary engineering owner for the Reman DU EOLT / dyno station, ensuring safe, reliable, and repeatable operation across all supported drive unit variants (FDU/RDU, multiple programs).
  2. Lead structured troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and NVH‑related issues; drive to root cause and implement robust corrective and preventive actions.
  3. Define, track, and improve key station and process KPIs (OEE, FPY, repeat test rates, downtime, scrap, rework, etc.) in partnership with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Data Analytics.
  4. Develop and maintain standardized test procedures and acceptance criteria for each drive unit variant in collaboration with NVH, Design, Manufacturing, and Quality.
  5. Support and, when needed, lead FAT, SAT, Gage R&R, and Final Acceptance activities for the EOLT station, including creation of test plans and analysis of results using statistical tools (e.g., Coefficient of Variation, Cpk, ANOVA‑based Gage R&R).
