Staff Revenue Accountant

Reddit is seeking a Staff Revenue Accountant to join their growing team. The role involves building processes, collaborating cross-functionally, and owning revenue accounting close tasks. The ideal candidate will have revenue accounting experience in a fast-growing public company, be self-starting, organized, analytical, collaborative, and a problem solver. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, audit support, documentation, developing SOX compliant policies, driving process improvements, assisting with system implementations, and participating in special projects. Requirements include 1+ years of revenue accounting or audit experience, a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA (or on track), basic GAAP/ASC 606/SOX knowledge, strong attention to detail, problem-solving, prioritization, communication, and collaboration skills, and proficiency in Excel/MS Office/Google Workspace. Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly close deliverables
  2. Prepare monthly flux analysis for management review
  3. Prepare audit support for external and internal audits
  4. Own accounting and process documentation for areas of responsibility
  5. Assist in developing and maintaining SOX compliant accounting policies and procedures in areas of responsibility

Skills

Required

  • 1+ years of revenue accounting or audit experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA (or on track to be certified)
  • Basic knowledge of GAAP, including ASC 606, and SOX
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and Google Workspace

  • Experience working with NetSuite and Salesforce
