Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff RF Antenna Cosite Engineer in Melbourne, FL to support the development and integration of RF Subsystems. Responsibilities include analyzing performance, developing requirements, performing CEM antenna analysis for co-site analysis, conducting trade studies, and collaborating with engineers and stakeholders. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12 years of experience, an active Secret clearance, and knowledge of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support development and integration of communications and other RF subsystems and components to meet platform mission objectives
  2. Requirements development, analysis, maturation and implementation translating customer requirements into derived specifications
  3. Perform Computational Electromagnetic (CEM) antenna analysis for source/victim (co-site) analysis
  4. Conducting detailed trade studies
  5. Performing risk analysis and developing mitigation plans and tracking to closure

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 10 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
  • Active in-scope, DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance once in position.
  • Knowledge of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum (VHF through Ka bands)
  • Ability to design, select and characterize RF components to meet mission objectives
  • Experience in Computational Electromagnetic (CEM) antenna analysis for source/victim (co-site) analysis
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Designing, integrating, testing, installing, operating LOS and BLOS communication systems in airborne military applications; Experience with voice, military and network waveforms; Experience with cryptographic implementations; Experience with RF antenna and component design and performance analysis
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and data analysis experience
  • Knowledge of system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation and interface control documentation
