Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Software Configuration Analyst to develop and maintain software configuration management tools, track changes to software systems, perform configuration management and release engineering tasks, design and implement build procedures, generate and maintain program software development records, establish the agenda for the SCM Configuration Change Board, develop software configuration standards, and train developers in configuration management tools and quality standards. The role requires a Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SAP clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.
  2. Track and monitor changes to a software systems configuration metadata. This includes handling dependencies, version control, and variability management.
  3. Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.
  4. Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development.
  5. Design and implement build procedures that are used to support software product development and use.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors degree and at least 12 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree and at least 10 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 8 years of relevant military / professional experience
  • active DoD Top Secret clearance
  • ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Nice to have

  • Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Knowledge and fluent in tool development
  • Experience working in an agile environment
