Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex software systems across multiple components
- Define technical approach and influence architectural decisions
- Drive system-level design ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Lead cross-team collaboration and align engineering efforts with product goals
- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and design guidelines
- Review design and code across teams to ensure quality and consistency
- Mentor engineers across teams and contribute to organization-wide capability building
- Handle ambiguous and high-impact technical problems
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across teams and systems
Quality Specific Goals:
- Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
- Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables
- Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 1215 years of experience in software development.
- Experience in software development, lifecycle and testing methodologies.
- Strong experience in object-oriented design methodology and programming languages, including C++, C#, or similar
- Experience in application development, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Business-level English communication skills for global collaboration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related computer field
- Experience in application development using modern frameworks and development tools
- Experience in integrating AI/ML models into applications.
- Experience with API development and system integration
- Experience with UI frameworks (WPF, Qt).
- Experience in microservices or modular architecture
- Experience in Git-based collaboration workflows
- Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)
