Staff Software Engineer, Developer Productivity

Webflow Webflow · Enterprise · CA · Remote · Engineering

Staff Software Engineer, Developer Productivity at Webflow, an AI-native Digital Experience Platform company. This role focuses on defining and driving the end-to-end deployment strategy, CI/CD systems, and developer velocity for a large engineering organization. The role involves owning GitOps-based deployment platforms, implementing progressive delivery, and building internal tooling to improve testing and deployment workflows. While the company is AI-native and explores AI-driven developer tooling, the core of this role is in software engineering productivity and deployment systems, not direct AI/ML model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and drive Webflow’s end-to-end deployment strategy, from CI pipelines to production rollout.
  2. Own and evolve our GitOps-based deployment platform (e.g., ArgoCD, Argo Rollouts), ensuring scalability, reliability, and ease of use.
  3. Design and implement safe, progressive delivery mechanisms (canary, blue/green, feature flags, automated rollback).
  4. Set technical direction across teams, guiding architecture decisions that improve developer velocity and system reliability.
  5. Establish and evangelize best practices for CI/CD, release engineering, and environment management across the organization.
