Photos is one of the most sought after products at Google and is looking for both client-side (web and mobile), with server-side (search, storage, serving) and machine intelligence (learning, computer vision) Software Engineers. We are dedicated to making Google experiences centered around the user.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on projects.
- Mentor a distributed team of engineers.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
- Understand iOS and the Photos iOS code base, ensure quality solutions for projects across the team.
- Work on user experience for Google Photos users.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in design and architecture with testing or launching software products.
- 5 years of experience with programming in Objective-C or Swift.
- 5 years of experience with iOS application development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role with leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience with working in an organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
- Experience in back-end coding languages such as GOLang, Rust, or Java.
