The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop the photos security strategy.
- Set and drive security practice standards and guidance for the Photos team.
- Plan and execute infrastructure changes to help Photos maintain a leading security position.
- Lead threat assessments to identify vulnerabilities and new attack vectors against Photos infrastructure and products.
- Drive product vulnerability response and remediation, including repros, mitigations, and hardening.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with security analysis in one or more of the following, such as counter abuse, threat modeling, incident or emergency response, vulnerability management, pen-testing, or cryptographic concepts.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
- Understanding of threat modeling, risk assessments and security assessments of systems.
- Passion for the security and backend development space.
