Staff Software Engineer, Platform role focused on building and maintaining Ripple's production infrastructure, release pipelines, and hosted products. Responsibilities include developing platform features for compute, authentication, service discovery, observability, and redundancy, leading architectural approaches, coaching junior engineers, deploying and maintaining multi-region service platforms with an emphasis on security and resiliency, and developing automation tools for monitoring and instrumentation. The role also involves creating and automating platform and application lifecycle services, proposing scalable solutions, and participating in the leadership of DevOps and GitOps principles.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and provide platform features for compute, authentication, service discovery and calls, observability and redundancy
  2. Lead architectural approaches with the right tradeoffs between scale, cost and maintenance
  3. Coach junior engineers about design, development, testing and deployment standard processes
  4. Deploy and maintain Ripple’s multi-region, multi-provider service platforms (with an emphasis on security and resiliency)
  5. Develop tools for automation, monitoring, and instrumentation to reduce operational friction and increase engineering efficiency
